Gord Anderson is a lifelong resident of southern Ontario and a fan of local history. A graduate of McMaster University, he is a corporate accountant by trade and spends any free time on his motorcycle. He presently resides near Hamilton, Ontario, with his beautiful wife, wonderful children, and troublesome dog Ozzy. He is currently at work on his next novel.

The War of 1812

When a disastrous campaign against Napoleon´s French troops leaves him facing a court-martial, British Colonel John Hawkins accepts a posting in "The Canadas" to give his career, and his life, a fresh start.

Now stationed at Fort George, John finds himself in a frontier consumed by war. He also, unexpectedly, finds friendship; and love; and murder!

After the Battle of Queenston Heights John must survive the Battle at Stoney Creek, evade pursuit from a treacherous band of renegade soldiers, and race against time to rescue his love from the raging inferno of the town of Newark (modern-day Niagara-on-the-Lake) as it is destroyed by flames!
